Sue Jelley was delighted to be invited by one of our SWA Sponsors to the Royal Geographical Society for the Launch of our Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent’s new book entitled ‘A Cheetah’s Tale’.
This august establishment was a fitting place to host ‘A Conversation with Adrian Phillips’ the publisher, Bradt Travel Guides about Princess Michael’s wonderful story of a vanished Africa, of a girl growing up and of the incredible bond that can exist between people and animals. Dr. Sarah Durant, Conservation Scientist and Cheetah Expert says ‘As we follow cheetah Tess’s journey from her rescue as an orphaned cub to her return to the wild, Princess Michael of Kent explores the very human struggle between head and heart as she prepares to let go of Tess.
A Cheetah’s Tale, a touching book, is beautifully written and informative and it comes at a critical time when this graceful and bewitching creature’s survival is at crisis point yet again. Published in the UK by Bradt Travel Guides.
