Congratulations to Caroline de Peyrecave SWA on her Award from The Painter Stainers Company for her painting of Major James Lyon which is being exhibited at the Armed Forces Art Society at the Mall Galleries, London.
As most of you know I completed my MFA at Wimbledon last month, where I sold one of my pieces to the Landmark Collection during the degree show. I was then approached by the Young Masters Prize to participate in their show with the Sphinx Gallery in October in which new work is hung alongside works by Old Masters – I will be responding to a work by Joshua Reynolds.
Our member Sue Howells has had 2 watercolours accepted at this years R.A Summer exhibition. This really is quite an achievement.

I'm delighted to announce that I've been commissioned by Oxford University Press to do the illustration for the 2016 Oxford Almanack. The Almanack was first published in 1674 and has been published annually since 1676. Engravers and artists have included James Basire, Michael Burghers, J.M.W. Turner, and John Piper.
Caroline de Peyrecave SWA is on a three week painting trip in Botswana and Zimbabwe painting local people and landscapes. She is particularly interested in Albinos in Bulawayo.
