Our very own Hazel Reeves SWA FRSA is the advisor to the Hove Plinth initiative, a community project that promises to bring inspiring sculptures to Brighton & Hove seafront. Showcasing new sculpture on the seafront could soon become a reality if the public get behind a fundraising drive in June to support Hove Plinth.

I was pleased to attend the unveiling of the Sir Nigel Gresley sculpture by leading Sculptor Hazel Reeves. FRSA SWA.  As President of The Society of Women Artists it was a great honour and pleasure to see one of our leading sculptors tell us something of the story behind her journey of discovery during the process of 'breathing life' into the clay and producing this remarkable bronze sculpture of one of our most eminent engineers.

Christine Charlesworth SWA has been commissioned to produce a 1.5 metre tall Bronze of ‘Sprint’ by Wing Tai.  This work is to be the main centrepiece ‘running over’ the lawn on the hillside overlooking Hong Kong.   The unveiling will be in April.
