Hazel Reeves, Emily Pankhurst Sculpture

Save the date: on the 27 February SWA Council member Hazel Reeves will have her bronze maquette of Suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst unveiled at the Houses of Parliament. The other five maquettes competing for this prestigious commission for St Peter’s Square, Manchester, will also be unveiled.

Sue Jelley, Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf, Dani Humberstone, Anne Blankson-Hemans and Dr. Linda Smith were invited to Broadcasting House to take part in the 100 Women BBC Edit-a-thon in collaboration with Wikipedia. This event was organised to highlight the very low percentage of notable women from all walks of life who appear on Wikipedia
