The RWA Secret Postcard Auction, held earlier this month, was a huge success, raising nearly £50,000 in total, enabling the RWA to continue bringing important art to Bristol, and also nurturing creative talent in some of the area’s most deprived communities. I don't know if any you managed to bid successfully for a Tracy Emin or Antony Gormley, but I can now reveal that Lot number 1 ‘The Last Time I saw You’ (oil on paper) was my contribution. The successful bidder, (whose interesting bidding technique was to immediately place a very high offer, thereby cleverly deterring all other bidders!) has been kind enough to contact me and I’m very happy that my miniature oil painting has gone to an exceptionally good home.
