Janette lives in the Midlands and practised for several years as a Commercial Interior Designer, having gained a degree from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design.

 

She takes inspiration from her love of the landscape, producing innovative, exciting and vibrant paintings. She works mainly in pastels and oils, but loves to explore other forms of media.

 

Awards include the Unison Colour Award, and runner-up in the landscape section, Artist of the Year Competition, Artist & Illustrators Magazine. Her work is in private collections in the UK and USA.

 

As well as the Mall Galleries, she regularly shows her work at Purple Gallery, and RBSA Gallery, both in Birmingham, and Forge2 Gallery, Culworth, Oxfordshire.

 

She was elected a member of the Society of Women in 2009, and a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artist in 2010. She also serves on the committee of the Birmingham and Midland Pastel Society.
