I am a virtually self taught artist, returning to art following a teaching career. I paint predominately in watercolour but enjoy mark making in any medium. My subject matter is varied and inspiration often comes in the most unlikely places, where ordinary objects become extraordinary in dramatic light. When a subject inspires me, there is an urgency to capture it on paper or canvas.

Having utilised art and music throughout my time in the classroom, I returned to creating for myself . It quickly became a passion resulting in regular selections into the RI, SWA, SMA, SGFA , TALP and Sunday Times watercolour exhibitions, picking up several awards.
