Tiny Nijman will take part in the exhibition "Off The Wall "with nine other printmakers and artists that use paper as the basis for their creation. 

In this workshop, which is suitable for all abilities, I will show you how to paint portraits in watercolour, full of colour with an impressionistic feel.

"The Grey Gatsby"  .  Commission for Leapardstown,  Ireland. I was recently honoured to be invited to paint " The Grey Gatsby "  a commission  for a major horse racing event in Ireland at Leapardstown sponsored by Longines opening next weekend.

Jean Noble RI SWA is very excited at the moment as she has been selected to be on the Jury panel of the Shenzhen International Watercolour Biennial. Along with 3 other Jurors from France,  Australia, and America,  she will be joined by 4 Chinese selectors. Having done the selection from the CD at the end of July at home she has then been invited to go to Shenzhen in October to make the final selection of prize winners etc. Jean will also be exhibiting one of her paintings.

Congratulations to Caroline de Peyrecave SWA on her Award from The Painter Stainers Company for her painting of Major James Lyon which is being exhibited at the Armed Forces Art Society at the Mall Galleries, London.

As most of you know I completed my MFA at Wimbledon last month, where I sold one of my pieces to the Landmark Collection during the degree show. I was then approached by the Young Masters Prize to participate in their show with the Sphinx Gallery in October in which new work is hung alongside works by Old Masters – I will be responding to a work by Joshua Reynolds.

Our member Sue Howells has had 2 watercolours accepted at this years R.A Summer exhibition. This really is quite an achievement.

Sue Nicholson is exhibiting at the Royal Horticultural Society’s flagship garden at Wisley until 27th September for the eighth successive year, as part of Surrey Sculpture Society’s beautiful and diverse exhibition there for 2015.
